Our company started in a spare bedroom in 2006 more as a part time hobby and a pipe dream, than a business. Our parent company "The Anniversary Rose" began making roses for traditional anniversary gifts (i.e. 1st year paper, 2nd year cotton, 5th year wood etc) cutting rose petals by hand with scissors (a little labor intensive). We quickly grew from a part time hobby to a full time business, increasing employees and integrating state of the art equipment to keep up with the growing demand. In order to provide more options to our customers, we expanded our line of products to include personalized anniversary gifts. And as the demand for personalized products increased, our customers requested that we add personalized gifts for weddings, Mother’s & Father's Day, Christmas and etc. hence was the birth of Darkota's Personalized Gifts.
Our company is dedicated to future of our planet, we use recycled shipping supplies and integrate earth friendly items every chance we get. That includes using the United States Postal Service. The USPS travels to every address in the U.S. most everyday and what better way to save on fuel that to use a vehicle that is already headed that route.
Although we are a small business, we continue to expand with new products and state of the art equipment which allows us to produce most of our products in-house and get the items shipped to our valued costumers faster.
